This website has a messy focus on First Things First (FTF) while connecting 15-20 published dots to a wide but not deep FTF disruption of the systemic economic and social cycle where half of society is in but getting nowhere. The mess includes -- To fix crime we have to fix the family, but before we do that we have to fix welfare, and that means fixing our budgets, and that means fixing our civil spirit, but we cannot do that without fixing moral standards, and that means fixing schools and churches, and that means fixing inner cities, and that is impossible unless we fix crime. As a nation we are in deep denial. Page 2 of the Fourth Turning by William Strauss and Neil Howe published in 1997 by Broadway Books almost 25 full years ago.
Framing and messaging a solution for the age 0-6 children takes one to early writing and reading, early math and early positive expectations of child and mom. Such a 3-legged stool will not stand as equal footing without at least the 3 legs. The nation measures poorly in this light.
Earliest for best is about choice and choice is about the private sector sharing the opportunity to succeed with intentional purpose and reality before school even starts. The blueprint for messaging, resources, service and initiative exists in our positive expectation of growth education, economics, emotions and ethics but who will apply it, for who. This blueprint to the multi-year dependent event realities that prevent constraints to highest quality private sector personal outcomes is for everyone, but who knows. Examples of who knows are plentiful as are the examples of those who are clueless or between stations.
The USA systemic process to be the best exists on a world class scale. The opportunity to be in that system is being missed by too many from the start at or before birth. Those who choose to be excluded do not want the Best of Success for individuals but rather the goodness of the group. The more involved the group (government) gets in the lives of those outside the system driving each to be best the harder it is to objectively see the comparison between worst, bad, good, better and best. The desire then becomes to see the comparison as worst, bad and good without understanding the Tragedy of the Commons.
Framing and messaging a solution for the adults running the show of a disparate and messy system would in part be built on 3 critical legs as presented in several books by Star Parker’s three Cs of Constitution, Christianity and Capitalism.
This USA-Positive-Expectations website provides the framing for the children age 0-6 and then age 7-12 for the best result. It provides a first thing way forward to get to the Best of Success. The website just touches on the framing for the adults which would not even be in question if FTF ruled our whole societal system. There would not be half of society in and getting nowhere. If racism and selfishness did not exist at age 6 to influence the child going into grades 7-12 but instead was replaced by equal readiness and love that expected the child to be better than the adult in the future; the details of the adult framing on more than just the 3 legs also could be assumed.
It will be much easier for society to purposefully do first things first during age 0-6 than to fix the adult’s framing covering ages 7-85. The fix during the age of 0-6 and then 7-12 will fix the adult’s future over a short time. The risk to not moving equality forward at age 6 is already being felt. The scream of racism is selfish given the present expectations for the child’s future based on the many choices made by adults to be outside the system of growth.
The website spends considerable attention to some special terms such as High-Quality, ERSD-RA, PVofPE-Prek, FTF, FTFRTFT, NewOldMoney to bring the dots together as the one and only focus. The Goal is continuously more throughput of High-Quality Outcomes. This is a well-worn private sector goal setup that uses the Theory of Constraints by Eli Goldratt to promise better and best results. The promise can be defined in the physics of constraints and bottlenecks to flowing High-Quality Outcomes through a real system of dependent event value added activity within an expected timeline. The promise and ROI from change is solid if the system is changed at the point of the most important bottleneck to High-Quality Outcomes. In other words, the effort to change is wasted in a system of dependent activities over an expected timeline if leadership is not changing the most important first things first constraint. This is on leadership and not the workers. High-Quality requires the system the system to stop and make certain the exceptions to defined requirements are corrected as soon as they are seen. This thinking, doing age 0-6 first things first right the first time (FTFRTFT) is critical to the outcomes within elementary school and should be the primary imagination, creation and attention getter for the money in any community needing to improve. The system will not improve today if the right bottleneck is not removed. The right bottleneck will always be addressed now or some- time in the future. Leadership can use the Socratic Method to find the right bottleneck to work on. The next bottleneck will then appear, but generally systems are constrained by fewer than 5 bottlenecks that constrain the throughput of High-Quality Outcomes.
The website spends time on the source of the Real Money required to disrupt the systemic circle representing why good will never be good enough. It not only spends time; it pro vides all of us a direct address to create the NewOldMoney disruption by addressing the change to the private sector’s most powerful corporation. The Federal Reserve Bank is the private sector’s bank and operates today with hidden reserves that come out of the shadow when this site is once again understood by leadership, the people, and the large and small businesses and organizations that rely on the leadership. The address to the most powerful is a big part of the site.
The private sector and public sector is addressed throughout the website starting with the fact that in 1965 the government turned the moral issue of equal opportunity into a lawyer’s slush fund and the private sector assumed the government could deliver at least a good quality outcome that would in time lead to better and best outcomes. Government failed the private sector and the systemic circle discussed above is demonstrated evidence. Not one large urban school district delivers at least a good quality outcome to a majority of the children.
Leaders of large and small companies, organizations, and universities continue to not see the high-quality full employment requirement at the point of first things first. Leaders still counts on lawmakers, governments, public school and union officials with policies and laws designed to create racial justice. Impossible, but that cannot be said without being cancelled. In effect the private business and the public sector is caught up in the failure to deliver even good equal outcomes. Growth is impacted by this constraint. That means NewOldMoney exists within the solution.
Large and small companies are required to disrupt the systemic solution without the government if they believe in the systemic circles of excellence and respect measures of worst, bad, good, better and best classifications of outcome. This is a no choice decision, are you in or not? Government has failed to see the limits and expects it can overcome the Tragedy of Commons and cannot be trusted with the next 85 year expectation. It is true that big parts of the last 85 years should be cancelled. The private sector will need to ditch Head Start’s measurement of readiness replacing it with the proven requirement of good, better and best age 6 outcomes required by those who know and are already paying personally for the service. The private sector through its large and small business and organization success can get to first things first age 6 definitions without starting over.
The website’s presentation of what is first things first in presenting the connection of 15-20 dots already successfully published as the solution literally does not know how to do it cleanly step by step. Perhaps an editor could do better justice to the connections required on the first line of FTF discussion for 90% of the USA population impacting years 7-85 of their positive expectations for first their children and then themselves. Time will tell because the presentation has just started and will be improved. Each of the 15-20 dots ties like a root system into the trunk solution we desperately need as soon as possible.
